Michelle has created a series of postures which are specifically designed
to be counter poses to the stresses we place on our bodies
on a daily basis. Activities of daily living, which do not at
first brush appear stressful, such as working on the computer, driving,
etc. actually can place tremendous strain on the body. After class with Michelle, I feel that ideal juxtaposition of
energetic awakening and relaxed opening of my body. As a
participant in many yoga and movement classes, I am truly grateful for

Participants will:
- Learn scientific movement principles to move with ease and strengthen core muscles during the practice of yoga asana and vinyasa.
- Learn how to effectively train the diaphragm muscle.
- Learn how to properly recruit core muscles to prevent injuries such as low back, hip, neck, and shoulder pain and tension.
- Learn specific counter-poses for modern life.
- Learn key teaching strategies to assist individuals in enhancing their learning of yoga asana and chakra self-balancing.
This workshop is for individuals who practice and teach yoga. It will be tailored for the unique needs of the attendees as it is taught by a Licensed Physical Therapist, Yoga Therapist, and Therapeutic Dance Teacher. All levels and styles of yoga may benefit from this workshop. Please dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat.
Instructor: Michelle Maniaci integrates the science of physical therapy with the ancient wisdom of Integratiev Yoga Therapy, therapeutic belly dance, vibrational medicine, and mindfulness meditation to bring you a safe, fun, and effective experience of your Oneness and Bliss. Michelle has been inspired to create and share her deep understanding and expertise of movement science, biomechanics, kinesiology, and integrative yoga therapy to enhance the lives of modern yogis and raise the level of scientific integrity, effectiveness, and safety to the practice and teaching of yoga asana and pranayama.
