About Energy Healing...
Michelle, thank you so much for the session you gave me.  Working with the different techniques  you use really helped me to channel stagnant energies and their release.  My main preoccupation now is my pregnancy and the energy I transmit daily to my baby; that's why I made the decision to get your help to feel more at peace and relaxed. After the session, my mind felt a deep peace with the aromatherapy, diaphragm breathing, the positive affirmations, and the crystal bowl.  My body felt rested from the massage and the physiotherapy manual techniques you applied to my neck and and low back.  I believe the secret only you know it, and besides this I believe it is the Almighty you channel to help alleviate symptoms and heal persons in whatever they need.

My relation to others has changed when the energy changed in me.  I feel the difference, I feel full of peace and energy. I really needed the balance of the energy in me.  Thank you for this gift to myself and my baby.   Susy R. Aventura, Fl.

About Friday Prenatal
Nurturing Moves Class at Giggles...
I met Michelle by coincidence when I was in Miami- she was subbing a prenatal course I was attending...of course coincidence is just another way of saying meant to be.  I live and teach pre- and post-natal yoga in Europe, although I was trained in the U.S., and I always love coming home to experience new teachers and take classes, something I don't do as often in Europe because I live in a small town.

I was immediately taken by Michelle's enthusiasm for teaching and her refreshing charm and wit.  She offers a fun approach to prenatal yoga and belly dancing and loves sharing all of her knowledge from her physical therapy background, something which I, as a teacher, really appreciated.  She engages women to empower themselves and their pregnancy/birth and is offering women a way to re-evaluate how we birth children in our country.  There is a great deal of room for enhancing the birth process in the U.S., as well as in other countries around the world, and this is also part of my mission...to re-educate our communities about pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
I highly recommend Michelle's classes...she is a joy to be around, she inflicts you with her energy, happiness, and inspires you with her stories, music, and nurturing moves!   Shauna Slingsby Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher  http://www.waveyoga.com

READ Pregnancy Testimonial Titled FROM NIGHTMARE TO NIGHT SLEEP... by Patty F.  Brickell Miami Apr. 2010
From Nightmare to Night Sleep

I had a very good pregnancy for the first 6 months, even though I felt tired and sleepy and felt my nose kind of stuffy (just as in my first pregnancy). However after the 6th month my stuffy nose got worse, I got a cold that lasted for more than a month, and every night was a nightmare. I couldn’t breath and had panic attacks and with my two year old son waking up at night it was terrible. I couldn’t sleep at all.
I went to a specialist and was diagnosed with rhinitis of pregnancy, which is common in pregnant women, he recommended a nose spray and sleeping in a seated position, which did not help much.
Those days I was feeling really sick which made me feel very upset, even depressed, I couldn’t function and it all was affecting my whole family, all I wanted to do was to cry, but it just would made the whole situation even worse. During the day I was occupied with things to do and the problem diluted, however I didn’t want the night to come, I was constantly worried about the idea I wouldn’t be able to breathe and panic attacks would come all night. I was desperate!!!

I met Michelle and she told me about her specialty so I told her about my problem. She seemed very understanding and confident she could solve my problem and invited me to her pre-natal yoga class.

It was Friday and I got to Michelle’s class, even though I was not totally convinced it would make much difference, it was worth trying. For my surprise it was an eye-opening experience, I started learning about breathing and things I could do to help improve my current condition. Half way into the class I realized that I hadn’t connected with my unborn baby, I almost cried and decided I needed that space for me and my baby without any interruptions.

Michelle recommended a private session, and told me she could help me in just one session and we would see after that.

She started the session giving me massages to open my ribcage so my breathing could improve even when the baby got bigger, she did aromatherapy, vibrations and many other techniques that helped me with my physical problems, she also felt I had some unresolved issues in my life and with all the trust and peace she gave me I opened myself and shared many things. When we finished I felt different, relieved, again in control.
After my first private session my cold disappeared, and I could sleep so much better, my depression and bad mood also disappeared. Every day things got better and better and now I can sleep and I feel good. I am a completely different person, and sometimes when I wake up at night (all those bathroom visits) and I fear panic attacks could come, I just breathe as Michelle showed me and it all goes away instantly.

I can’t say it was only one thing or if it was a combination of everything she knows and her incredible personality, but I can say right now I feel she is like an angel that crossed my life in the moment I needed it the most. She gave me back my happy pregnancy, she helped me, my family and my unborn baby! And I can’t thank her enough!   Thanks Michelle!!!

ABOUT PRE/POSTNATAL NURTURING MOVES CLASSES...

"I enjoyed Michelles classes tremendously.  They will be a positive memory in my pregnancy.  Michelles generous spirit, warmth, and passion for prenatal yoga and the birthing process came through in every class and I always left feeling relaxed, healthy, and vibrant, filled with love and positive energy. I will really miss your classes - they were definitely one of the highlights of my pregnancy. And I learned so much from you and was so thankful that I encountered your classes.  Anyone who takes classes from you during their pregnancy is blessed and in great hands!  I particularly liked the belly
dancing and the foot massages!"     Sarah W.

"The yoga class was a great time for relaxation during my pregnancy.  I learned how to prepare the different muscles for pregnancy and labor.  The breathing exercises made my whole labor experience better.  Michelles classes are excellent - always different. She gives special attention to what you are feeling that day or week.  I especially enjoyed the great massages during final relaxation."  Suzel B.

"Michelles gentle exuberance and openness will set you at ease and help you to relax.  This is a perfect remedy for expectant mothers and their often apprehensive partners."  James S.

"The times I've been able to be in the prenatal yoga I have felt truly blessed.  I am able to immediately relax and be surrounded by a "peace bubble" forgetting about the many things I have to do and take care of.  It's trully a time for me and the new baby to come.  This being my second baby, sometimes I forget that I am bringing a new human being into the world and participating in the classes reminds me of it and helps me appreciate the great opportunity I have of being a mom.  Thanks for all your thoughts, the research you share with us, and for
giving us an hour and a half of inner peace."   Morella P.

"I love that I am able to have my baby there to watch me exercise. There is also specific bonding time that is set aside for the babies whether it is massage or play time.  Michelle helps us strengthen our bodies but also works to pamper our spirit.  We leave the class rejuvenated and ready  to take on the week."   Ruth & Mena E.

"Michelles class has been fantastic for me and has truly taught me to "let go" and concentrate on my little one and focusing on her strength and health and how much of my health and strength is related to hers.  When I had the bleeding and had to go to the hospital for observation, I truly felt that having taken your class and the positive attitude you instilled in all of us helped me while at the hospital - just focusing on my little one and that she was healthy and strong.  I've told you that even my husband was surprised at how calm I was, so I'm hoping that that will transition for me when I go into labor.  I practice the "shimmy's," the figure eights, and my breathing in the shower and at other times, even if it's just a few times a day.  Especially after the last class, when I can't believe that I fell asleep during shivasana, you've also really taught not only me, but all of us who have taken your class, the importance of letting go - which is really valuable.  Not only the letting go both physically, but emotionally of things that may bother us during our day at work before class and in general.  I know that I've at least taken some of the letting go away with me from class, and I do think that my attitude has become more positive because I know that I'm transmitting that positiveness/energy to this little one.  So for all these things, I thank you tremendously Michelle!"    Krishna B.

"Throughout my pregnancy, I have looked forward to Michelle's uplifting and empowering yoga class every week.  I know that her class will help enable me to have the positive birth experience I am seeking."   Sarah T.

"Michelles yoga training brings a different perspective to our class that I really enjoy."   Chantal C.

"Michelle always lead a wonderful, relaxing stretch.  I appreciate the
visuals she offered during warm-up."   Stefani B.

"I love Michelle's personal touch and individual feedback.  Really gentle with the ladies." Traci P.

"I enjoyed your classes tremendously.  They will be a positive memory in my pregnancy - your generous spirit, warmth, and passion for prenatal yoga and the birthing process came through in every class and I always left feeling relaxed, healthy, and vibrant and filled with love and positive energy. I will really miss your classes - they were definitely one of the highlights of my pregnancy. And I learned so much from you and was so thankful that I encountered your classes.  Anyone who takes classes from you during their pregnancy is blessed and in great hands!  I particularly liked the belly dancing and the foot massages!"    Sarah  W.

"Michelle was an inspirational teacher from the moment I met her.
Yoga classes were always open to birth experience discussions and
after class Michelle always made time to talk to Mommys-to-be, giving us her undivided attention, book recommendations, personal experiences and support.  Outside of the "classroom" Michelle encouraged me to focus on myself and helped me to "just watch" my toddler experience life, preparing him and me for the new baby that was quickly approaching.  I will miss Michelle in Boston and cherish the time that we spent getting to know each other."    Nicole

"I really loved yoga with Michelle-- she has a wonderful warm way with people, and so genuinely loves what she does.  She is a fabulous woman!  Thanks so much for sharing your warmth and wisdom with all of us mamas."   Divya K.

"Last evening was memorable to me in many ways. I was
grateful to be in the presence of other mothers carrying their babies.  I enjoyed the visualization, movement and breathing.  The visualization helped me to set positive expectations and build my confidence as I tried to envision my baby. It also deepened my connection with  the life and spirit of my baby inside me. Thanks for your facilitation and creative energy. I hope to see everyone again."    Nandini V.

"I absolutely enjoyed the art exercises, the dancing and the joyous spirit you created for everyone there.  I was on hospitalized bed rest later in the summer and had my baby arrive a little over 3 months early! Needless to say I was completely absorbed in making daily, multiple visits to the NICU for 4 months.  However, because of attending your class I used drawing with crayons as a creative way to spend time while on bedrest. Our little boy is now home, well,
healthy and vibrant!  Wishing you all the best in all that you put your heart in to doing!"  Nandini  V.

"I asked for some time to push to see if I could deliver vaginally and she luckily listened to me.  She gave me three hours to push and I pushed for 2:55!  I have to say that I think all the prenatal yoga was a huge reason that I was able to push for as long as I did and as effectively as I did.  The breathing that we practiced was so helpful, without it I definitely would have ended up having a c-section.  Thank you for all your advice over the last few months.  Yoga class was such a great escape for me, I loved going and concentrating on me and my little one."  Emily D.
